Should one have to make a personal prediction, I’d comfortably believe to see some of these growth numbers [for crypto sports betting sites] multiplied by at least two-fold by the year 2020.

While they all offer sports betting, they have very different value propositions. Let’s dive in and see how they compare.

1. SportsBet

SportsBet is my favorite Bitcoin sports betting site which accepts Bitcoin and many cryptocurrencies. The only major flaw of SportsBet is that they do not allow US, Australian, or Estonian punters.

Pros of SportsBet:

  • Excellent from a legal standpoint.
  • They want to know their client base, which only helps the user experience.
  • They offer water polo and esports betting, for the fans out there.
  • Accepts lots of currencies, including BTC, ETH, LTC, SOC, $US, $CA, EUR, INR, and more.
  • Lots of payment methods accepted: Visa, Mastercard, MuchBetter, Ecopayz, Paysafecard, and more.

Cons of SportsBet:

  • Restricted to players from many countries.

2. BetOnline

BetOnline is one of the most popular crypto gambling websites for US players, even though it’s accessible worldwide. Since it launched back in 2004, BetOnline has built itself a reputation for being one of the few Bitcoin sports betting websites that offer user security and full regulatory compliance of a U.S. casino.

Pros of BetOnline:

  • Lots of sports and live betting are available.
  • You can deposit funds with lots of cryptocurrencies apart from BTC, including BCH, XRP, ETH, LTC, and more.
  • Available in lots of countries. Although it focuses primarily on US players, BetOnline also welcomes punters from pretty much all over the world. That includes players from Canada, the UK, and many more.
  • High bonuses when betting with bitcoin.
  • Proven track record of customer support and security.
  • Many more gambling offers are available, such as poker, blackjack, and slots.
  • The customer service is available via chat and call 24/7.

The Recent Growth of Bitcoin Sports Betting

Bitcoin sports betting sites have flooded the market during the last 5 years, adding to the exponential growth of the industry as a whole.

Some staggering statistics were published, documenting some thought-provoking numbers across the Bitcoin gambling industry as a whole.

These statistics complement the underlying potential of the rapidly growing sports betting cryptocurrency platforms.

How Much Is Bitcoin Sports Betting Expected to Grow?

Should one have to make a personal prediction, I’d comfortably believe to see some of these numbers multiplied by at least two-fold by the year 2020.

Bitcoin has already proven to be a chosen currency to be used with most platforms offering slot games and online table games as their primary income, and it seems that sports betting is following these trends closely.

Why Do Gamblers Love Bitcoin Sports Betting?

As a result of tiresome hours and draining nights in front of their respective machines, blockchain and cryptocurrency developers have blessed gambling enthusiasts with amazing incentives to participate in cryptocurrency sports betting, which is why the number of Bitcoin sports betting sites is growing each year.

1. Fast Deposits and Withdrawals

Cryptocurrencies are meant to be decentralized digital cash. This means that the gambler and crypto sports betting site interact directly, with no intermediary between them.

With cryptocurrency, users send their bets directly from their personal wallets to the casino’s wallet quickly and cheaply. When the time comes for them to claim their winnings, withdrawals can be done quickly as well.

Some sites even have automated payouts, directly back to the user’s wallet.

2. Lower Fees

Cryptocurrency allows for fewer fees -- simple as that. When transferring Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies to sports betting sites or sending Bitcoin to a friend, fees are negligible.

3. Accessibility

Being one of the toughest regulatory industries, gamblers have frequently experienced the passing of laws impacting the accessibility of gambling facilities on a global scale, whether physical or digital. This is especially true for U.S. customers.

With Bitcoin, many users have been able to surpass local gambling laws due to weak know-your-customer (KYC) requirements of early cryptocurrency days. This was the result of under-regulation.

Now, there are fully anonymous gambling sites like 1xBit and Stake.com which are still accessible via a discrete VPN service from anywhere in the world.

4. Anonymity

Discretion is one of the most appreciated characteristics offered by Bitcoin sports betting platforms who prioritize anonymity as a unique selling point.

For the undercover gambler, the ability to lock in a bet without declaring their name and address is a dream come true - not to mention how this ties into my earlier point raised about accessibility worldwide.

Due to looser KYC groundwork in the world of sports betting cryptocurrency, enthusiasts are likely to gravitate towards the new generation platforms like 1xBit and Stake.com offering a higher level of privacy for their users.

Hello, dear mr. Mischael First of all, what is the most significant factor that influences the rates of crypto currencies? Secondly, in virtue of which methods it is possible to persuade people in crypto currencies' necessity? Thirdly, will the crypto currencies become irreplaceable in future? Thank you very much for your patience and time! Sincerely, Tamerlan.
Michael Rosenblat
Hi Tamerlan, 1. Realistically, Bitcoin price action is the biggest influence and catalyst for defining the trend of the market. 2. It's not about persuading, just spreading quality information. It may not be for everyone. 3. Irreplaceable is a broad concept. Just like any other technology, always be aware of competing DLT technologies and innovations happening in the space. I recommend following some talks by the Bitcoin Core guys, they have some valuable information. Same goes for Andreas Antonopoulos. Thanks, Mike

BETTA.CO
As keen crypto and sports betting enthusiasts, we have always been disappointed with the sports betting offers available to us, especially Ethereum-based, and have no time at all for those sites that require you to purchase some random token from an exchange, effectively gambling twice! So, as a group of friends that wanted something better, we built something...er...BETTA! While I am conscious that this may come across as blatant advertising, it is not supposed to do so. I found your article informative, and have a genuine passion for the subject matter, as it is clear you do and, as such, I wanted to introduce you to one of the "homemade" alternatives. In short, we have built BETTA (available at BETTA.CO) as something of a hobby project to offer P2P sports betting on the Ethereum blockchain using a risk-enhanced parimutuel model that not only makes in-play betting possible, but turns it into something much more strategic and, I think, more engaging than standard fixed odds in-play - presenting some really excellent opportunities for hedging, greening and arbitrage. What is more, there is no sign-up required, no accounts, no verifications, no waiting, no deposits, no random tokens - as decentralised crypto betting should be. Web3 technology permits players to interact with our smart contracts directly from their own Web3-enabled browsers and ETH wallets. Our front-end is far from perfect, our mobile version is imperfect (BETTA is primarily designed for Web3-enabled desktop use), we are limiting ourselves to EPL matches only at present, but the tech is provably solid and we already have ideas for further enhancing the BETTA experience (day jobs permitting!). As I do not wish to appear spammy, I will not post any direct links to websites, Telegram, Reddit, Twitter, Medium etc. unless you say that I may, but all are available. Should you wish to discuss our little project further, we are more than happy to make ourselves available to answer any questions you might have.
