This Black Chip Poker review covers a brand that most players know for its poker tables, and looks at it from the other side of the lobby. Next to the downloadable poker client, Black Chip Poker runs a casino with in-house table games, live dealers, and classic slots, plus an American-style sportsbook with props, teasers, and futures.

Black Chip Poker has operated since around 2011 as a skin on the Winning Poker Network (WPN), the network behind Americas Cardroom. That lineage gives it real strengths: big, guaranteed tournaments, a certified card shuffle, and one of the most generous bonuses among crypto poker sites. This review outlines what casino players and sports bettors get, as well as what they should check before depositing.

Key Takeaways

  • Browser casino with WPN in-house table games, live dealers with limits up to $10,000, keno, bingo, and casino tournaments.
  • US-style sportsbook with American odds, player props, teasers, if-bets, futures, and novelty markets.
  • 100% poker welcome bonus up to $2,000, plus a separate casino rebate and slot reloads.
  • Deposits by card, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, USDC, Tether, Luxon, and person-to-person transfer.
  • Crypto withdrawals from $50 up to $10,000 per transaction.
  • Mandatory poker rake of 10% of total deposits before any withdrawal is approved.
  • Curaçao sublicense with no license number or public register entry.
  • Accepts players from most US states.
  • Best for poker players who also bet on sports or play table games, and weakest for casino-only players.
What we like
  • WPN table games, live dealers to $10,000, and casino tournaments.
  • Large poker welcome bonus and busy promotion calendar.
  • Bitcoin deposits are credited in about two minutes, in full.
  • US-style sportsbook with props, teasers, if-bets, and futures.
What we don't like
  • No verifiable license or privacy policy.
  • Self-exclusion is the only responsible gambling tool.
  • Separate wallets and domains for each product.
  • Live chat inquiry went unanswered during testing.
  • 10% poker rake required before any withdrawal.

The bonus program is where the poker heritage pays off most clearly. Black Chip Poker runs a full calendar of welcome money, rake races, leaderboards, and loyalty rewards, and the casino has its own set of reloads, drops, and rebates on top.

Black Chip Poker Welcome Bonus

New players receive a 100% first-deposit match up to $2,000, credited automatically on deposits of at least $25. No Black Chip Poker promo code is needed. The bonus is not added to the balance in one go; it is released in $1 increments, with each dollar unlocked by earning 27.5 Award Points within 60 days.

Award Points come only from poker, at 5.5 points per $1 of rake or tournament fees. Therefore, clearing the full $2,000 takes about $10,000 in rake, while a $25 bonus requires roughly $125 in rake. Casino spins and sports bets earn nothing toward it, so casino and sports players should treat the welcome bonus as a poker product and look at the casino promotions below instead. Progress is tracked in the Rewards section of the poker client.

The casino promotions page is branded “ACR Casino Playbook 2026,” a leftover from sister site Americas Cardroom. It does not change the offers, but it shows how closely the two brands share their backend. Several casino offers also require a message to support before they are credited, adding a step that players at most crypto casinos do not face.

The poker schedule runs much deeper, with Online Super Series XL events, Daily Mystery Bounties, freerolls every three hours, Spinz jackpot sit-and-gos paying up to 12,000x, and Daily Double jackpots for players who final-table two named events on the same day.

Black Chip Poker VIP Program

Loyalty runs through Elite Benefits, a six-level ladder from Player to Icon that multiplies Award Points earned from 1x up to 5x. Points can be spent in the Store and the Drip Shop, and they feed weekly races such as The Beast, Blitz Beast, and Sit & Crush. The Venom Vault adds a key-based prize game: a first deposit of $25 or more unlocks seven free keys, and one free key can be claimed from the Rewards page.

A Side Hustle referral program, still labeled beta, pays $50 for a first qualified referral and up to $125 per referral at a higher status. Almost all of this is earned through poker rake. For casino players, the practical loyalty benefit is the 10% Classic Casino Rebate.

Safety is the weakest part of this Black Chip Poker review, and it outweighs the brand’s age and its technical security features.

Black Chip Poker’s terms state that the site is governed by the laws of Curaçao, “and the Sublicense granted thereunder to International Processing Services S.A.” No license number, regulator seal, or registered company address is given, and the brand does not appear on the Curaçao Gaming Control Board’s public register. The sublicensing model the terms describe was abolished in Curaçao’s 2024 reform, so the stated basis is outdated at best.

Other parts of the terms point to Costa Rica instead. Player data is protected under Costa Rican law, Costa Rican courts handle disputes, and the operator itself makes the final call on any complaint. The terms also refer to a privacy policy, but there is no privacy policy page on the site.

On the technical side, the picture is better. The Security & Integrity page publishes an iTech Labs certificate dated 11 December 2025 that covers the random number generator and card shuffle and tests them against UK standards. The site also documents anti-collusion checks and bans on real-time assistance software.

Reputation

Black Chip Poker’s reputation is shaped by the network it belongs to. Players on the Two Plus Two forum have documented bot-farm allegations across WPN for years, including claims of large-scale automated tournament play. In 2019, WPN confirmed a bot ring, refunded about $200,000 to affected players, and capped individual refunds at $25,000. In February 2025, the network faced fresh criticism after a high-profile real-time assistance case.

Trustpilot shows a 2.9 rating, with recent complaints about blocked accounts and unpaid withdrawals sitting alongside reviews praising the poker software. Casino. Guru and AskGamblers have no listing for the brand at all, which is unusual for a site that has been open for about 15 years. The footer displays a Guinness World Records badge for the largest crypto jackpot won in an online poker tournament, a genuine milestone, but not one that addresses these concerns.

Responsible Gambling

Black Chip Poker’s main tool is self-exclusion managed through the poker client. Players can choose any duration and exclude one product at a time, for example, blocking the casino or sportsbook while keeping poker. Permanent account closure is also available and blocks deposits.

Beyond that, the toolkit is empty. There are no deposit, loss, stake, or session limits, and nothing to remind players how long they have been playing or help them assess their habits. The site links to no outside help organizations, such as Gamblers Anonymous or the National Council on Problem Gambling, despite targeting US players. Neither the web account menu nor the casino’s My Account page has a responsible gambling tab.

Is Black Chip Poker Legit and Safe?

Black Chip Poker is a long-running, real operator with certified game software, so it is not a fly-by-night site. It is still a high-risk choice. There is no verifiable license, no outside body to hear disputes, and a withdrawal rule that can hold casino or sports winnings until poker is played.

One more practical warning: the official site is blackchippoker.eu. The .com address redirects to an unrelated spam casino, so players should type the .eu address or use a saved bookmark.

Creating an Account at Black Chip Poker

The poker client’s sign-up form has just four fields: nickname, email address, password, and an optional referral code. There are no Google, Apple, or crypto wallet sign-in options, and the form carries no link to terms or privacy information. A line underneath warns that only one account is allowed per person.

The short form is misleading. Before depositing, the web account asks for full name, date of birth, gender identity, full address, and phone number, noting that “all information must be accurate and verifiable.” The browser casino has its own form for providing similar information. Account creation through the client is also slow because the client must complete updates before registration opens.

  1. Download and install the poker client, then let the Live Update finish.
  2. Click Sign Me Up and enter a nickname, email, password, and optional referral code.
  3. Confirm the verification email, including the new-device check on first login.
  4. Complete the personal information page in the web account before the first deposit.

Anonymity and Privacy

Black Chip Poker is not an anonymous site. Full identity details are required up front; there is no ghost or incognito setting, and no privacy policy explains how that data is stored or shared. Poker players do choose a public nickname, so table opponents see an alias rather than a real name.

The terms contain no specific rule against VPNs. A country-and-state list instead controls access, and the account’s address and state fields tie each player to a location.

KYC and Identity Verification

Withdrawals rather than sign-ups trigger formal checks. The cashier’s Account Certification page has three parts: Identity Verification, Proof of Address, and Update Personal Information. Age verification is required before a first payout, and copies of payment methods can be requested. No turnaround time is published.

Two-factor protection is a strength. Cashouts require an email code, and players can add an authenticator app for account changes.

Contact Methods

The casino offers a contact form asking for name, email, username, reason for contact, and a message, protected by an hCaptcha check. A live chat bubble appears in the casino lobby, and the sportsbook shows a Live Chat button beside the betslip. During testing for this Black Chip Poker review, a question sent via the casino’s live chat received no reply, so players should not rely on it for urgent issues. The casino lists [email protected], a shared network address, while the poker site lists [email protected]. There is no phone line.

Social channels are not a real option. The official X account has not posted since March 2019, and community discussion happens on third-party poker forums where the operator does not formally respond.

black chip poker review contact form screenshot
Black Chip Poker: Contact Form

Help Center and Self-Service Resources

A virtual assistant, linked from the site footer, answers questions using a large library of help articles covering poker rules, banking, bonuses, and account settings. The poker promotions pages are detailed and double as a reference for bonus rules. Casino and sportsbook help is thinner, and the sportsbook relies on pop-ups, such as a Rules Update notice about changes to event venues and dates, to share its policies.

VIP Support

Elite Benefits does not list a dedicated account manager or priority support line. Higher-status players get better rewards but the same contact channels as everyone else.

Black Chip Poker keeps accounts in US dollars. Crypto is converted to dollars on deposit and back to crypto at the current rate when a withdrawal is processed.

The Bitcoin deposit screen is careful. It warns players to generate a new address for each deposit, reminds them that Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are not the same coin, and then shows the exact amount of BTC to send, along with the address and a QR code. A “Suggest a method” box lets players request new options. The banking page elsewhere claims to offer more than 60 crypto options, while the cashier lists only five coins, so players should go by the cashier.

black chip poker review deposit screenshot
Black Chip Poker Review: Deposits

Fees and Limits

The 10% fee on Visa deposits is a steep charge by any standard, and crypto is the obvious way around it. The site also charges a small conversion fee on some bank payouts. Crypto withdrawals are limited to one per 24 hours and five per week, with the $10,000 transaction cap, and the site quotes an average processing time of under one hour.

The bigger limit is the Mandatory 10% Poker Rake Requirement set out in the T&Cs Decoder above. A player who deposits $1,000 and plays only slots or sports must still generate $100 in poker rake before a withdrawal is approved. For the casino-first reader of this review, that is the single most important fact about Black Chip Poker.

KYC and Withdrawal Verification

Withdrawals follow a three-step flow: choose the method, enter details, and confirm. Every cashout requires an email verification code, and first payouts trigger age and identity checks through the Account Certification page. Saved cards are managed on a separate page, and a Cashier History tab lists every transaction.

Additional Crypto Features

Bankroll Beneficiaries is a feature we have not seen at any other crypto site. Players can nominate crypto addresses and split their balance between them by percentage, and if the account is not used for a chosen period (18 months by default), the balance is sent to those addresses. The site says it will try to contact the player 30 days first, and it describes the tool as working the way a will does for a poker bankroll. It sits oddly beside the dormant-funds clause in the terms, so players who leave money on the site should set it up.

The account also runs separate wallets. Poker money sits in the main balance; the sportsbook requires a manual transfer from poker funds; and live dealer games require funds to be moved into a Casino Balance using preset buttons ($25, $100, $1,000, a custom amount, or all).

Black Chip Poker is really three products stitched together, and the joins show.

Site Design and Interface

The web account lives at play.blackchippoker.eu, the casino at casino.blackchippoker.eu, and the sportsbook at bcpsports.dbpn.com, a separate domain with its own design. The web lobby offers three tiles: Casino, Sports, and Poker, but the Poker tile reads “Coming Soon” and points players to the download. The casino itself is tidy, with horizontal rows of games and a dark layout, while the sportsbook looks like a classic American betting board. Moving between them feels like switching websites.

The poker client is a different experience again. The Windows installer is 128 MB, and the first launch forces a further 164 MB Live Update. During installation, the Start Menu shortcut failed with an “Access is denied” error, though setup continued. Once running, the client’s lobby is packed with cash games, high stakes, Blitz, tournaments, staking, Spinz, sit-and-gos, and Pokasino, plus tabs that open the casino and sportsbook.

black chip poker review homepage screenshot
Black Chip Poker Review: Homepage

Navigation and Search

The casino has a search box and a “Filter by Providers” dropdown above its rows. Tabs split the lobby into Slots, Table Games, Classic Slots, Tournaments, Live Dealer, and Sports, and themed rows such as Animals, Food, Fantasy, Asian, and TV Games help with browsing. There is no sort option by popularity or release date. The sportsbook has its own search and a sports list down the left. On one visit, the Slots tab displayed a message that slots were “temporarily unavailable,” with no estimate of when they would be available again.

Mobile Experience

Casino and sportsbook players get a mobile web version rather than a downloadable app: a QR code on the account page opens it on a phone. The poker client is desktop-only on Windows and macOS.

Customization and Preferences

The sportsbook settings cover odds format (American by default, with decimal and fractional available), line display style, time zone, and language. The casino and account pages have no light or dark mode switch or other preferences.

The browser casino is smaller than a typical crypto lobby, but it offers a mix of games that most crypto casinos do not carry.

Software Providers

Slots come from mid-tier studios including Betsoft, BGaming, Endorphina, Mascot, SmartSoft, Reevo, Qora, PopiPlay, and Dragon, with TV Bet supplying lottery-style games. The big names found at most crypto casinos, such as Pragmatic Play, NetEnt, and Evolution, are missing. What sets the lobby apart is WPN’s own software: table games, classic slots, video poker, and keno built by the network and served from its own casino platform.

Game Quality and Diversity

WPN’s in-house table games are the highlight. They include Blackjack, Spanish Blackjack, Blackjack Switch, Double Exposure, Single Zero and American Roulette, Baccarat, Craps, Three Card Poker, Let It Ride, Pai Gow, and Stud Poker. Classic Slots is a separate collection of simple WPN titles, including Sportfishing Club, Railway Riches, and Golden Mines. Video poker covers Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better, Double Bonus, and Aces & Eights.

The live dealer area covers blackjack, roulette, baccarat, Super 6, live poker, slots, and bingo, featuring named dealers and an “Early Payout” blackjack table that returns 99.5%. Live bingo variants include Cataratas, Keno Draw, Pesca, Go-Go, and Tribo.

Game Categories Available

  • Slots and Classic Slots
  • Table games and video poker
  • Live dealer blackjack, roulette, baccarat, Super 6, and poker
  • Keno and live bingo
  • Crash, Plinko, and other specials
  • Casino tournaments

Casino tournaments are an unusual category. During testing, the lobby listed a 5,000 Sport fishing club slot tournament (30 buy-in, $15 re-buy) and a 1,500 blackjack tournament (25 buy-in, $10 re-buy), and $150 slot freerolls. Tournament play is familiar to poker players and rare at crypto casinos.

Jackpot Games

The casino has no dedicated jackpot category. The largest casino prize found during testing was the Jackpot 777 progressive on the live Blackjack HD tables, which exceeded $260,000. Slot players get Drops and the weekly leaderboard instead. The large jackpots at Black Chip Poker sit on the poker side, with the Daily Double and Spinz multipliers of up to 12,000x.

Staking Limits

Game Min Bet Max Bet
WPN Blackjack $5 $2,500
Single Zero Roulette $1 $1,000
Classic Slots $0.01 About $250
Keno $0.01 $50
Live Blackjack and Roulette Varies by table $10,000
Live Baccarat Varies by table $5,000

Games Tested During This Black Chip Poker Review:

  • Boomology 101 (slot): a cascading-reels slot set in a mad scientist’s lab, where winning cascades charge a 26-step Power Bar that unleashes one of four character features, and three scatters trigger free spins. A Feature Bet menu offers an Extra Bet that doubles the chance of free spins or a direct Bonus Buy. The bet picker greys out any stake the balance cannot cover, which is a tidy touch.
  • Blackjack (WPN in-house): the table opens in its own window on wpncasino.com and takes a long time to load. Before the first hand, a Buy-In window moves money from the bankroll onto the table as credits. The rules are printed on the felt: blackjack pays 3-to-2, the dealer stands on 17, and insurance pays 2-to-1, with up to three betting spots and Rebet and Rebet x2 buttons.
  • Blackjack HD (live dealer): streamed from WPN’s own studio, with a named dealer, a player chat, and a Jackpot 777 progressive side prize that stood above $260,000. The table supports Pairs (11 to 1) and Rummy (9 to 1) side bets, Bet Behind on other players’ seats, and a mini-games panel with slots, roulette, and a lucky wheel to play between hands. A rules panel sets out every step of play.

Black Chip Poker’s sportsbook is built for American bettors and covers far more than just football and basketball.

Sports and Market Coverage

The sports list includes football, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, golf, boxing, MMA, motor racing, darts, handball, and esports. Futures are well stocked, with markets on Super Bowl LXI, the AFC, the NBA title and divisions, the UEFA Champions League winner, and the Champions League top scorer. Novelty markets on politics, the Academy Awards, the Grammys, and reality TV round it out. Live coverage reaches beyond the big US leagues, with in-play markets on Japan’s B.League and Australia’s NBL during testing.

Odds Quality and Limits

Prices are shown in American odds by default. Main markets cover moneylines, spreads, and totals, with extra lines and player props on selected games. The minimum bet is $1, and the standard maximum is $5,000, which the site says can be raised on request.

Betting Features and Tools

Its betslip supports straights, parlays, teasers, if-bets, and reverses, bet types that many crypto sportsbooks skip. Parlays can be placed between 9 a.m. and midnight Eastern Time. The balance menu shows available funds, stake, total, and free plays. A weekly history view summarizes results by day. Modern extras such as bet builders, cash out, odds boosts, and an automatic accept-odds-changes option are absent.

Live Betting Experience

In-play games list moneyline, spread, and total prices with extra markets and props behind “+” links. Updates are functional rather than flashy, with no live streaming or match graphics. Because the sportsbook uses its own wallet, bettors must transfer funds from the poker balance before placing a bet, and back again afterward.

Black Chip Poker products hold up well: a strong bonus calendar, an interesting browser casino built around classic table games and casino tournaments, and a US-style sportsbook with futures, props, and bet types rarely offered by crypto sites. A test Bitcoin deposit arrived in about two minutes with nothing skimmed off, and Bankroll Beneficiaries is a thoughtful feature.

The score falls on trust and access. The license cannot be verified, the operator has the final word in disputes, the network’s integrity record is poor, and the 10% poker rake requirement means casino and sports winnings can be held until a player sits at the poker tables. Separate wallets, separate domains, a large client download, and a live chat that left our question unanswered add friction for anyone who came for the casino.

Black Chip Poker suits US poker players who also want sports betting and table games under one account, and who deposit with crypto to avoid the card fee. Casino-only players and bettors who don’t play poker would be better off considering the other crypto casinos and sportsbooks we’ve reviewed.

Is Black Chip Poker a no-KYC casino?

Black Chip Poker is not a no-KYC casino. Before the first deposit, players must enter their full name, date of birth, home address, and phone number. Identity documents and proof of address are then checked through the Account Certification page before the first withdrawal. At the poker tables, opponents only see a chosen nickname.

  2. 02

    Is Black Chip Poker VPN-friendly?

Black Chip Poker has no specific VPN rule in its terms, but access is controlled by country and state, and every account is tied to a verified home address. Using a VPN to play from a restricted state is likely to cause problems when the address is checked at withdrawal. A live chat question about VPNs went unanswered during testing.

  3. 03

What is the maximum withdrawal limit at Black Chip Poker?

Black Chip Poker caps crypto withdrawals at $10,000 per transaction, with a daily limit of 1 and a weekly limit of 5. The minimum is $50, and every cashout needs an email code. Before any withdrawal is approved, the account must also generate poker rake equal to 10% of total deposits, even when the winnings came from the casino or sportsbook.

Which games contribute to bonus wagering at Black Chip Poker?

Only poker counts toward the Black Chip Poker welcome bonus. The 100% match up to $2,000 is released at $1 per 27.5 Award Points, earned from cash-game rake and tournament fees within 60 days. Casino and sportsbook play earns nothing toward it, so casino players should look at the 10% Classic Casino Rebate and the weekly Drops instead.

Does Black Chip Poker have live dealer games?

Black Chip Poker offers live blackjack, roulette, baccarat, Super 6, poker, and bingo, streamed from WPN’s own studio with named dealers. Limits reach $10,000 per hand on blackjack and roulette. Blackjack HD adds Pairs and Rummy side bets, Bet Behind, and a Jackpot 777 progressive. Funds must first be moved from the main balance into a separate Casino Balance.

Can I self-exclude from Black Chip Poker?

Black Chip Poker allows players to self-exclude via the responsible gaming settings in the poker client. Exclusions can last any length of time and can cover a single product, such as the casino or sportsbook, while leaving poker open. Permanent closure is also available. The site offers no deposit, loss, or session limits, so exclusion is the only control.
