dPoW
Dynamic Proof of Work (dPoW) is currently in the early stages of development. Not many new blockchain projects are experimenting with it.
However, it does have some potential. Essentially, dPoW prioritizes transactions based on the amount of work the user has done. So, rather than spending more money on fees to get your transaction done faster, you can offer more computational power. The more computational power you dedicate, the higher the network will prioritize your transaction, and the faster it will go through.
The benefits are seen when the network is being flooded by transactions that didn’t cost much to produce (low-value POW) and you go ahead and dedicate more computational power to prioritize your transaction, thus putting your transaction ahead of the other transactions.
