However, the odds remain low, with only a 15% likelihood of ‘crypto’ or ‘Bitcoin’ being mentioned and a 13% chance of ‘DOGE’ or ‘Dogecoin’ being mentioned.

Polymarket’s Trump crypto bets have become a trend

The total trading volume for bets on Trump’s speech has exceeded $1.86m, reflecting strong interest despite Polymarket experiencing a 26.6% decline in trading volume in December compared to November. The platform recorded $1.93bn in December trading, showcasing its role as a hub for prediction markets tied to major events.

During the 2024 presidential campaign, Polymarket users bet on topics ranging from Trump’s statements at rallies to his participation in debates. This pattern highlights the platform’s growing popularity among political and crypto enthusiasts.

With less than a week until the inauguration, the Polymarket contract on Trump’s speech has surpassed $2m in total trading volume.
