Top Five Crypto Airdrops To Consider In February 2025

Crypto airdrops remain one of the best ways for users to gain early exposure to emerging blockchain projects while securing free tokens. These giveaways are often part of a project’s marketing strategy, rewarding early adopters for their engagement and helping decentralize token distribution.

With February 2025 bringing a wave of high-profile airdrops, now is the perfect time to explore the most promising opportunities.

Five crypto airdrops to consider for February 2025

1. Abstract

Abstract, a consumer-grade crypto blockchain built on the ZK Stack, launched its mainnet in 27 January 2025. The project aims to lead the next generation of consumer crypto by focusing on cultural and economic innovation.

To achieve scalability, Abstract executes off-chain transactions in batches and uses zero-knowledge proofs to validate these batches on Ethereum. Contributors to Abstract include individuals involved in projects like Pudgy Penguins, Ethereum, Frame, and Kubernetes. The parent company of Pudgy Penguins, Igloo, oversees and contributes to Abstract’s development.

To participate in Abstract’s airdrop, users can complete quests on the mainnet bridge site. By completing these quests, participants earn points, which can be converted into tokens in the future.

2. LayerEdge

LayerEdge, a Layer-2 solution enhancing Bitcoin’s ecosystem through programmability and scalability, has initiated an incentivized testnet program. Participants can earn EDGE points by operating light nodes and verifying proofs. Phase 1 of this program began on 22 January and concluded on 28 January 2025. Phase 2 is set to commence immediately afterward.

To participate, users can earn 1 EDGE point per second of active node operation, with additional points available through daily check-ins and completing ecosystem tasks. These accumulated points may potentially be converted into tokens in future airdrops.

An upcoming airdrop is scheduled for February 2025. LayerEdge is listed on exchanges such as BingX. The network operates with zero transaction fees and has a total supply of six million tokens.

3. Fraction AI

Fraction AI is a decentralized platform that facilitates collaboration between humans and AI agents to create high-quality labeled datasets essential for training AI models. The platform supports various data formats, including text, images, audio, and video, catering to a wide array of AI applications.

Fraction AI is conducting a testnet airdrop campaign that began on 21 January 2025, and is expected to conclude in late February or early March 2025.

To participate, users will need to subscribe to the Fraction AI waitlist with their email. The project will send details about tasks and activities for the airdrop to the approved waitlisted users, with the potential to earn FRAC tokens.

The project has already raised $6m in a pre-seed round led by The Spartan Group.

4. Venice

Venice AI has launched its Venice token (VVV) on the Base network, aiming to provide decentralized, private, and uncensored AI inference for tasks such as text, image, and code generation. The platform emphasizes user privacy, ensuring that prompts and conversations are neither stored nor viewed by the platform.

Airdrop details

  • Eligibility: Active Venice users since 1 October 2024, who accumulated at least 25 points by 31 December 2024, are eligible for the airdrop. Additionally, 25 million VVV tokens have been allocated to AI community protocols on the Base network, including projects like VIRTUALS, AERO, DEGEN, AIXBT, GAME, LUNA, VADER, CLANKER, and MOR.
  • Claim process: Eligible users can claim their VVV tokens through the token dashboard until 13 March 2025. Free users must upgrade to a Pro account to claim their tokens, while Pro users can claim directly.

5. Humanity Protocol

Humanity Protocol is a blockchain infrastructure project that rivals Sam Altman’s Worldcoin. It’s focused on decentralized identity verification through non-invasive biometric technology, specifically palm scans. The protocol aims to create a secure and private digital identity system, ensuring that only real humans participate in online spaces while granting users full control over their personal data.

Most recently, Humanity Protocol secured an additional $20m in funding, co-led by Pantera Capital and Jump Crypto. This brings its total funding to $50m and values the project at $1.1bn.

The protocol has announced collaborations with OKX Wallet and the web3 education network Open Campus. OKX Wallet users who sign up for the Humanity Protocol testnet receive a 10% bonus in airdrop allocation upon the protocol’s token launch.

Additionally, these users are issued verifiable credentials to confirm authentication as verified wallet users. The partnership with Open Campus aims to redefine digital identity and credentialing by enabling interoperable, privacy-preserving credentials across decentralized ecosystems.

Airdrop participation:

Humanity Protocol is conducting a testnet campaign that offers participants the opportunity to earn rewards and qualify for potential future airdrops. To participate:

  1. Join the testnet:
    • Visit the Humanity Protocol testnet page.
    • Connect your crypto wallet.
    • Create a unique ‘Human ID’ and enter the invitation code ‘airdropsio’ if prompted.
    • Submit your details and verify your email.
  2. Engage with the platform:
    • Log in to the dashboard and claim daily rewards.
    • Connect your social accounts to receive a boost in farming points.
    • Invite friends using your referral link to earn additional points.

Accumulating points through these activities may increase your eligibility for future airdrops.
