Reddit is one of the largest social media platforms and is known as “the front page of the Internet.” Nowadays, users can find content about virtually any topic by browsing through the thousands of subreddits that exist. Reddit is such a fixture in today’s online culture that many projects and communities create their own subreddits in hopes that people will subscribe and help grow their subreddit community.

This indicates to us that it is most likely a community who has yet to invest in cryptocurrency and that most of the common population has not explored Bitcoin yet.

Subreddits extend the URL of Reddit.com with “r/topic_name.” For example, if you want to find general funny content, then you can go to reddit.com/r/funny. Over the past few years many cryptocurrency related subreddits have been emerging, most notably r/Bitcoin acting as Bitcoin’s subreddit. The Bitcoin subreddit recently hit 1 million subscribers which shows that despite the current bear market, interest is still on the rise.

What Does This Mean?

Considering that Reddit is a mainstream website, we can assume that most users subscribing to r/Bitcoin are new to the crypto industry as a whole and seeking to learn more about the topic. This indicates to us that it is most likely a community who has yet to invest in cryptocurrency and that most of the common population has not explored Bitcoin yet.
